Well, if you think so, just read my status updates to get a “tastier” insight into the extremely kinky, painful and humiliating sex antics Beauty and the other love slaves go through over the course of this book. As a whole I like to think of the trilogy like a flower. I think what makes it work for people is the combination of the very graphic and unsparing sexual details mixed with the elegant fairy-tale world.
The story became more and more ridiculous as it progressed. This was fucked up. What was she thinking?
So I offered what I could not find; a light touch; elegance; preciseness; a dreamlike kingdom; a dream in which people explore their need to be passive and to “pretend” that someone gorgeous and irresistible is “making” them do it. I think it’s authentic to the way many who share this kind of fantasy really feel. I just really like it because as I was reading it I felt their emotions, frustrations etc. But what can I say, it all gets me hot. Oct 24, Raven rated it it was amazing Shelves: View all comments.
The books offer ornate and seductive variations on the themes; and all sleping it is interwoven in stories with real characters, and again, the emphasis is on a lush, sensuous realm in which all this happens. I felt that ended just the way I wanted.
Don’t get me wrong.
I think she just saw “Sleeping Beauty” and assumed I’d want it. I felt sick to my stomach on many occasions, especially when Prince Alexi tells the tale of his own abuse and degradation.

BDSM is consensual; otherwise just call it rape and stop trying to make it sexy. Open Preview See a Problem?
I am not a prude by any stretch, I sleeling think this is not the book or subject matter for me. If you want me to be honest, it kind of intrigued me a little bit. I’m fairly certain she had no idea the books were erotic.
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty
Another foremost difference in Rice’s rewriting is that the story takes Beauty to a series of far harsher trials after her period of extreme passivity in a coma-like sleep. So that’s doubly not fun for me. The author cleverly aims to bisexualize the aa. It made me realize how exciting public humiliation of a woman was to me.
Thanks for telling us about the problem. May 18, 1marcus rated it it was amazing. It felt closer to pure, unadulterated rage.
The opening showed promise – he scales the castle wall and finds the cursed princess in her bower, powerless to stop him from doing Whatever – but it quickly sleeling clear that neither the prince or his newly claimed princess-slave would be developed beyond one-dimensional cardboard archtypes.
The literary world today is wide open for all kinds of creative endeavors. I have to sleeoing. This book is a good read note: Paperbackpages.
The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by A. N. Roquelaure, Anne Rice | : Books
I have to say that this is not The Sleeping Beauty fairy tale that you are used to. It was so boring and predictable. We know nothing of her character to start with – whether she was modest, chaste, loving, kind, whatever, so it’s hard to see her as a person to begin with since her character is so cardboard.
Her head fells towards him, and he felt the hot moisture against his right hand, and laying her down again, he cupped both of her breasts, and sucked gently on one and then the other.
